Vukuzenzele Stevedoring Services an experienced stevedoring company and is a fully registered; Level 2 B-BBEE, procurement recognition owned Company located in the Western Province Region and was founded in 2016 on the principles of social responsibility, good staff relations, a strong safety focus and trust. These principals have direct benefits for customers.VSS offers stability, reliability and flexibility with jobs finished on time and to the highest quality.

Our business focuses mainly on Stevedoring Services which include the automotive, break bulk, containers, dry bulk, lashing/unlashing/hatch cleaning and project/special cargo.

VSS offers a reliable, flexible service to ensure ships are turned around in the quickest possible time with the best in cargo care.VSS has offices and License’s in Port of Elizabeth / Coega, Port of Cape Town, Port of Durban, Port of Richards Bay, Port of East London and the Port of Saldanha Bay which is stationed as the Head Office. VSS is in the process of extending our horizons and opening up a branch in Maputo and serving the West African continent.

The company’s management team shares more than 24 years of experience in the industry. The simple hands-on corporate structure allows the company to respond quickly to challenges and provide innovative, tailored solutions. The over-all operations managers in the different Ports are duty-bound in ensuring efficient and regular communication to all stakeholders and at all levels.

From its first day, VSS established a reputation for developing simple, innovative solutions to common problems, streamlining performance and improving efficiency. VSS primary aim is to turn ships around in the shortest time possible to minimize costs for shippers and carriers.

However, safety is also op paramount concern and therefore the company has implemented a SHEQ management system to guide and instruct employees of how work is to be carried out.

All employees are trained on how to adhere to the OHS and SAMSA regulations and requirement in and off customer’s premises. All our staffs are trained in line with our Customer requirements and our Standard Operating Procedures in line with our Risk Assessment’s identified by our SHEQ Department.
